  • Sandpoint’s summer music scene continues on with the  Trout and About Festival – an afternoon of music for kids and adults who still like to act like kids. There will be trout-related games, education, raffles, and giveaways.
 
  • Kids of all sizes will rock down with Missoula based Cowboy Andy and the Salamanders, starting @ 11:00.  Cowboy Andy and The Salamanders bring big music to little people of all sizes! Their all-original rock and roll spans all the genres and makes kids and families want to dance, sing, and celebrate.  Winner of the Parents’ Choice Gold Award, NAPPA Winner, and Creative Child Rock and Roll Album of the Year!
 
  • The second act of the Trout and About Festival, Missoula based Shakewell will be laying down the groove.  A funk brotherhood of lifelong friends and collaborators, Shakewell thumps out funk, neo-soul, and rock ‘n’ roll.
 
  • The event is sponsored by Avista, Panhandle Chapter Trout Unlimited, Idaho Fish & Game, Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks as part of their collaborative efforts to educate about the threatened Bull Trout species and to promote clean and clear water in our rivers and lakes.
 
  • Suggested donation is $3 for adults – if you can spare it, and all kids are FREE (all minors must be accompanied by an adult).  This is a rain or shine event with limited seating, guests are encouraged to bring their own camp chairs.
